Vivek, 17, has reached 17 and it is high time he enrolled in coaching classes to prepare him for the highly-competitive entrance exams of Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Vivek's father who views an IIT degree as moral certification sends Vivek off to Kota-the center for IIT coaching-for two years of intensive IIT prep classes at residential preparatory school; over this time frame his parents do much of the growing up for Vivek rather than vice versa
