Candy Heron's (Angourie rice) new school is welcomed with open arms by a group of girls who are known as the Plastics. The story begins to shift when Candy Heron (Angourie Rice) falls for the alpha Plastic Regina George (Renee Rapp), who is actually her ex-boyfriend Aaron Samuels. The film is based upon Mark Waters’ 2004 comedy of the same title, which in turn was based on Rosalind Wiseman's 2002 novel "Queen Bees and Wannabes". The book and movie have also inspired a Broadway musical with the same title.
